Business Development Manager (IoT) 

Location: Manchester (within 1 hour) 

Working Model:  Office Based
Salary: £30k-£55k + 20-25% bonus + Car & Fuel Card

Whether it’s within aviation, automotive, FMCG or wind energy, if it’s a critical mechanical component that moves and could break down, we now line in a world where IoT technology can predict that happening.

This company is leading the charge, saving customers hundreds of thousands by preventing mechanical failures before they happen.

Now, they’re expanding in the UK and need a driven Sales Engineer to seize big opportunities. Partnering with the UK MD, you’ll be on the front lines—meeting clients, closing deals, and laying the groundwork for serious growth.

This isn’t a slow-paced, corporate role. It’s entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and high-energy.

If you thrive in start-up environments, love selling cutting-edge tech, and have at least a functional understanding of mechanical engineering/industrial machinery, this is your chance to own a market and build something big.

You’ll be working directly with the UK general manager who is very hands-on with sales himself, and is someone who will support and encourage you along the way.

What You Need

  • Sales experience within engineering or Manufacturing SaaS / Tech, or a mechanical engineering background with some sales experience
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or relevant industry experience)
  • A hunter mentality—targets, pipelines, and customer meetings are your thing
  • Self-motivation and urgency—you make things happen
