The product you will be working on isn’t your normal run of the mill, to work with this you will need to be security cleared, so if anything is lurking in your closet, this may not be the role for you.

If you have any experience in Java this is a bonus, as their legacy system is written in Java, however, this will be short-lived as you can probably guess by the fact that I mentioned it’s a legacy system. The new software is being written in C#, so if you have C# experience and haven’t touched Java it’s not the end of the world.

If you have worked with web front end and SQL and are happy to learn Java or C# don’t hesitate to apply!!

Role: C# .Net Developer 

Location: North Nottingham, hybrid 2/ week in office

Systems Engineer

Role:  DCIM/ BMS/ Systems Engineer

Location:  Hybrid – including travel to client sites

Salary:  Up to £90k

This is a brand new role within the business and you will be joining an expanding team within a company that has sustainability at its core.

You will be playing the main part in DCIM and BMS design activities, as well as managing external sources in order to meet project deadlines. As well as having sole responsibility for approving the DCIM architecture to ensure that it meets all standards.

What skills do you need:

  • Experience working in a data centre
  • Ensuring the monitoring systems are effective and efficiently designed in order to protect the data centre
  • Experience in delivering a BMS design
  • Able to configure systems applications to support new data centre deployments.
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP configuration, SNMP communication protocols and API and MQTT power integrations.

C# Software Engineer

Role: Software Developer (C# .Net 6+) 

Location: Leicestershire office. Mostly remote – once per fortnight in the office for team meetings

I’m working with a lovely Nottingham-based FinTech company in the automotive space, which is looking to expand its Infrastructure team with an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. You’ll be their first DevOps/ Cloud Engineer, so you really need to know your stuff!

This role will see you getting involved in a variety of work, including building solutions that are both efficient and easy to scale, troubleshooting performance issues, reactive work to resolve incidents, and liaising with your immediate team and wider colleagues to make sure what you’re designing and delivering is meeting business needs, and hopefully, exceeding them!

At a glance, here is what you’ll need to be great at this role:

  • Vast knowledge of the Azure stack
  • An infrastructure background is very much preferred, but if you’ve not come from infra, you’ll understand the network architecture of Azure
  • Excellent knowledge in either Terraform or Bicep for IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Team collaboration and knowledge-sharing capabilities are very necessary
  • Experience in monitoring resources in Azure either using log analytics or similar technologies
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
  • Azure certification
  • Knowledge of containerisation would be nice but not essential

They are a small company but have a great structure in place, which means that progression routes are well-established, pay reviews are regular, and you’ll know what you need to do to reach that next level!

They have lots of flexibility around their working hours and location, etc, so you can start work between 7 am-10 am, as long as their core hours of 10 am-3 pm are covered, you’re free to work when you want to, as long as you get what you need to get done, they’re happy.

You’ll be working alongside the Head of Cloud Engineering to support their production cloud platforms for several critical applications.

This will include liaising with the wider team: IT Manager for Azure AD integrations, QA, and especially the dev team which will see you helping them with any technical issues they have with their dev environments and/or integrating with new cloud services that support new and existing projects, and to ensure that all procedures and processes are documented, tested, and ready for production release.

Security is an important part of this role and, as such, you’ll be using Synk – a container security assessment tool- to manage base images, and AWS Security Hub to address any issues that arise in production environments.

Tech-wise, here’s what you’ll be using, and so will need experience with for this role:

I’m working with a global tech company, with a base in Nottingham City Centre. They need you to join them to expand their capability to serve their customers excellently.

Working in an Agile environment, using modern tech, you’ll be getting your hands dirty with tech like; C#, .Net core 7/8, REST APIs, Azure, Entity Relationship (ER) Databases like LucidChart, etc. It would be great if you have experience of working with DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GraphQL, Kong API Gateway, IaC, etc.

You will be able to put your analytical skills to the test and look for any trends and patterns within the tickets. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in writing how-to articles to assist with any trends.

This role will not suit a shrinking violet as on occasions you will be involved in providing demos to customers. Please note this is not a sales role. It is just another feather to your wings. You will be able to talk through the product and help onboard customers onto the platform.
