Job type: Full Time

Junior Software Engineer

Role:  Junior Software Engineer (C# / .NET / Vue.JS)

Location:  Derby

Working Model: Hybrid (once a week in the office)

Salary:  £40k

Okay, let’s cut to the chase. I’m on the lookout for a Full Stack Developer who’s ready to take on big, meaningful challenges and actually make an impact. My client is a serious player in the pharmaceutical and healthcare game, with offices across the UK, Europe, and the US, including their UK HQ in South Derbyshire (the tech team usually meet once a week in the office). Their mission? To deliver high-quality software that is making a real change in the word, and you can be part of it!

Who are you?

I’m looking for someone who’s got some solid commercial experience under their belt and can hit the ground running. We’re not after perfection, but we need someone who’s confident in their abilities as a Full-Stack Developer.

It goes without saying that you’re analytical, driven, and always ready to go above and beyond. You’ll work with some of the biggest pharma companies in the world, plus be part of internal projects that help shape the company’s future. So, if you’re not afraid to own your role and make an impact, let’s talk.

What’s the role really about?

You’ll need experience with C# .NET Core and Vue.js. You’ll be part of a project team focused on delivering client-driven solutions while continuing to evolve and enhance existing products. And trust me, you’ll get to work on products that are literally shaping the healthcare industry. One of their platforms recently won an Award for Excellence, and it’s helping healthcare providers connect with patients in ways that actually improve health outcomes. This is just one of the game-changing projects you’ll get to work on.

They use Vue.js and JavaScript to build the application interfaces—so if you’re comfortable with that, you’ll hit the ground running. If your experience is in similar frameworks or languages, still get in touch. I’m open to chatting if you’ve got the skills and the hunger to learn.

Skills Needed:

You’ll need solid experience with C# and ASP.NET Core, as well as a strong grasp of Vue.js for building user interfaces. Familiarity with SQL is a must, and if you’ve worked with Azure, even better. You’ll be tackling both front-end and back-end tasks, so Full-Stack Development is a key part of the role. Of course, you’ll need to be a strong communicator—working with both internal teams and clients means you’ve got to know how to convey ideas clearly. Analytical skills? You’ve got ‘em. And experience in Web Development with JavaScript will definitely help you hit the ground running.

If you’re looking for a job where you can actually contribute to something meaningful, and you’re ready to join a company that’s pushing the envelope in healthcare tech, then get in touch. Let’s talk. Hit me up or apply now.

Oh, and just so you know—we recruit with zero tolerance for bias. No matter your age, gender, background, or any other label, if you’ve got the skills, we want to hear from you.

.NET Developer

Role:  .NET Developer (C#, ASP.NET & MVC)

Location:  Derby

Working Model:  Hybrid

Salary: Up to £46k

Alright, listen up. I’m on the hunt for a .NET Developer who’s ready to break the mould. I’m teaming up with a powerhouse software house that’s doing some seriously cool things in the health and pharmaceutical space. They’ve got offices all over the UK, Europe, and the States, but they’re all about results—no matter where you’re based.

You won’t just be writing code for the sake of it. You’ll be part of a team that’s building game-changing applications to find and educate patients who need treatment. You’ll help create nursing services that empower people to live their best lives, and you’ll have a direct impact on guiding healthcare pros to prescribe the right meds, every time.

Who Am I Looking For?

I’m looking for someone who’s got their head in the game. You’ve worked with internal and external stakeholders without breaking a sweat. You don’t hide from deadlines—you chase them down. The dev team is tight-knit, so while you need to be a team player, you also need to be able to fly solo when necessary.

This isn’t a beginner role. I need someone with solid commercial experience who can hit the ground running. But don’t freak out if you’re not a finished product—we’re after confidence in your abilities and a solid background in Full Stack Development.

Let’s be clear: I want someone who’s analytical, driven, and willing to push the boundaries. You’ll be working with some of the biggest external clients in the game, and you’ll have a chance to shape internal projects that will steer the company’s future.

Hybrid Working – Why Not?

Hybrid is the name of the game here. The team typically gets together in the office just one day a week—so if you live far away, no worries. As long as you’re happy to communicate and stay connected (and make it to the office once a month), this could be perfect for you. The offices are based in South Derbyshire.

What’s the Job Really Like?

You’ll be working with C#, the .NET Framework, and SQL Server. Your focus will be on client-driven projects, as well as enhancing and expanding current products. You’ll be developing tools that are literally shaping the healthcare landscape. This is about real impact—helping people quit smoking, manage their weight, and access the right healthcare.

We use ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC to build our app interfaces. If you know your way around those, you’re golden. But hey, if you’ve worked with similar frameworks or languages, I’m open to chatting. Experience can come in many forms.

What Skills do you need?

You’ll need experience with C#, the .NET Framework, WebForms/MVC, and SQL. Full-Stack Development is a must, along with strong communication and analytical skills. You should also have a solid background in Web Development, particularly with JavaScript.

This is a prime opportunity to join a company that’s shaking up the healthcare industry with tech. If you’re feeling this vibe, hit me up or apply now. Let’s see if we’re a match.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect regardless of background.

DevOps Engineer – Azure

Role: DevOps Engineer – Azure

Location: Office in Sheffield, hybrid working of one day per week in the office.

Salary: Up to £60k

Do you love start-up life but can’t afford the riskiness of joining one right now?

Do you see yourself as a bit of a pioneer? Someone who relishes a challenge, and would love to be the first DevOps Engineer in a start-up with a difference?

If this sounds like you, read on- this is what you’ve been waiting for!

This organization is still in its infancy: they now have a few developers, data scientists/engineers, heads of departments, but no DevOps team…yet.

You will be their first DevOps hire, so it’s a really important role for them to fill with the right person. Career progression is baked into this role, and all roles at the company at this stage, as you’ll be joining them on essentially the ground floor. As the company grows, so will your position within it.

I don’t like to use platitudes like ‘exciting’ or ‘dynamic’ in my adverts as a general rule, as they’ve lost their meaning through overuse, but I can confidently say that this role is a genuinely exciting one- it’s got everything an enthusiastic and talented DevOps Engineer could want in a role!

If this sounds right up your street, apply now or get in touch to find out more about your new role.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Recruitment Delivery Consultant

Role:  Recruitment Delivery Consultant

Location:  Nottingham – Hybrid

Salary:  £25k – £35k + bonuses

You’re bloody good at what you do.  You work hard and always get results, but you hate being micromanaged or working in a pushy, salesy recruitment culture.

You want to work somewhere where you are treated like a grown-up in a drama-free culture, where you can make a mark in a small, growing company.

Maybe you’ve had some time out of recruitment to raise a family and now need somewhere that’s family-friendly with flexibility.  Or, maybe, you love the idea of switching over to the tech sector?

Either way, you might just be our kind of Rebel Recruiter!

We founded Rebel in 2015 as a tech recruitment company determined to do things differently. We aimed to cram it full of intelligent and passionate recruiters who are ambitious, and driven but also humble and honest.

We are now looking to hire an experienced resourcer / recruiter to join us in a delivery-focused role.

We have a multitude of existing accounts and are winning new clients every single month, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently deliver a range of roles from data scientists/engineers, network engineers, IT Support, project management and software testers (support will be given, so you don’t need previous IT recruitment experience, though it would help).

If you’re great at taking responsibility, working under your own steam and possessing high urgency levels and professionalism then you’ll fit right in!

You will have worked in a similar role as a 360 recruiter or as a resource/delivery consultant within a white-collar sector such as finance, sales, marketing, HR or Engineering.

You’ll need at least 12 months’ recruitment experience, with a previous track record of successful performance and progression.

You’ll also be based within commutable distance of Nottingham, as you’ll need to come into the office at least 3-4 days a week for collaboration and camaraderie!

We are also open to considering someone on a part-time basis – we are a very family-friendly employer.

On offer is a basic salary between £25k – £35k + bonuses worth £5k – £10k dependent on performance.  We also have regular team meals, charity activities, days out and incentives, as well as in-house knowledge-sharing sessions and training.

If this sounds like your kind of place, hit that apply button or give us a call (Google us!)

A chance to develop your programming skills and to get into the world of AI and Machine Learning?

Working for a new, unique hybrid engineering/ML company who are shaking up a huge global industry, you’ll have a chance to combine your love of tinkering with robotics and automation with a newfound appreciation of all of the possibilities of AI and Machine Learning in the field of industrial manufacturing.

This company have come from seemingly nowhere to suddenly be one of the hottest names in their industry, but their success is no overnight success story.

They are led by experts in the robotics, automations and manufacturing industry – these bright sparks saw an opportunity to spin out a new company that combined old school know-how with cutting edge data and Machine Learning technology and so far, their order book shows no sign of slowing down.

Staff Engineer  – Climate Tech

Role:  Staff Engineer  – Climate Tech

Location:  Fully Remote but you have to be based in the East Coast, USA, or Mainland Europe

Salary:  Up to £150k with generous benefits + equity

*PLEASE NOTE: Python/FastAPI + React/Typescript expertise is essential*

Wow.

That’s how we felt after the briefing call with the Head of Engineering.  Why? Because this opportunity really does have everything.

Work with a purpose that is changing the world for the better? Check.

Backed by serious investment whilst also doubling revenue YoY? Check.

Remote work, with super-talented colleagues spread across the globe? Check.

Great pay, benefits and culture?  Check, check, check!

This *ridiculously* cool climate-tech company is at the start-up/scale-up inflection point.

They’re moving past the days where problems were solved with unstructured grit, where intuition and random brilliance were the order of the day.  They’re now looking for sanity and scalability, and you’ll play a leading role in this transformation.

Their team develops a unique product that helps organisations proactively monitor and manage one of the major (and up until now, less-addressed) effects of climate change.  It is a devastating problem that is wreaking havoc across the world, but with the products you’ll be developing you’ll directly be contributing to a safer and more stable world.

With a new round of investment and new customers signing up for their groundbreaking product, they are on the cusp of a major recruitment drive, but none of their roles are more important than this Chief Software Engineer role.

Currently, they have a talented team of software engineers with a front-end bias, and little in the way of deep Python software development experience.  With these roles, they want to help balance this, by hiring a super-capable Chief Software Engineer with expert-level proficiency in full-stack, cloud-driven (GCP, Azure or AWS) development in React, Angular or Typescript along with Python/FastAPI (this is vital).

You must also have a genuine interest in the sustainability movement and working for a company that is mission-driven as you’ll be working with super-passionate people who care deeply about our planet.

You’ll have no formal line management responsibilities in this role but will lead/coach the team and drive the adoption of industry-leading technology and standards across the engineering team.  You’ll be a flexible and sensitive technical leader, able to win over colleagues who are working through this cultural and technical transition using your excellent relationship-building, leadership and collaboration skills.

The role will be remote based with occasional travel into London and/or Amsterdam, and you can be based anywhere in the US, mainland Europe or on the East Coast of the US (but able to be flexible to GMT/CET working patterns).

On offer is a salary of up to £150k with generous benefits + equity.

Please apply to find out if you might be suitable (all our applicants are screened by an experienced, human recruiter and not AI)

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

C# .Net Developer

Role:  C# .Net Developer

Location:  Nottingham, hybrid 2 days in the office.

Salary:  Up to £50k + up to 11% bonus

This has to be one of my all-time favourite companies to recruit for; they are so lovely.

A long-standing client of Rebel’s, this company make me happy- they really value their staff.

I’m looking for a strong mid-level C# Developer to join a wonderful small-medium-sized company in North Nottingham.

Their beautiful offices have been done up professionally with parking and showers on site.

They have 3 product development teams, using different tech, ranging from C# MVC, SQL Server and angular to .Net Core and microservices, Azure, and react (moving to Blazor); this role is ideally going to be going into the latter team, so new shiny tech and best practice (SOLID, design patterns, you know the score) is where they are at, and what they’d like you to be proficient with.

The work you do here is needed and recognised- they are small enough that everyone knows everyone, collaborates, and generally has a great time at work. This is well-reflected in their very low staff turnover.

Work/life balance is something they are really passionate about, so they maintain a 35-hour working week, with core hours, and working from-home options to help with this. They also offer things like training budget, including Pluralsight subscriptions for engineers, and the option to upskill in different areas of business.

They are of the mindset that human interaction and spontaneity are some traits that can’t be replaced by scheduled meetings, and since they all actually like each other, going into the office again when it’s safe to do so is something they are happy they’ve been able to get back to.

I could go on about them, but if you’ve read this far, nodding along and with a smile on your face, then apply now and we can have a more in-depth chat about your new role!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
