Job type: Full Time

Senior Software Engineer – Power Platform

Role: Senior Software Engineer – .Net, Angular, Azure, Dynamics365/ Power Platform

Location: Office in Bedfordshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office per week

Salary: Up to £80k plus great benefits, including enhanced pension and 35 hour working week

You’ve been looking for a great company that’s financially stable, with a lot of interesting work to do, with modern tech, that you can throw yourself into and use your skills to their fullest.

You want to be around people physically some of the week to collaborate and to feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

If this describes you, read on, this could be the one for you.

A great little company, of around 10 people, in Bedfordshire are building out a new engineering team and you could be a part of it. They are a Microsoft house, so their tech stack is centered around C#, .Net 8+, Azure, TypeScript, and Angular.

They use some Power Platform financial software, including Dynamics365, Business Central, and Dataverse: they would like to hire someone who is a full stack engineer with their core stack above and with additional experience with these Power Platform technologies, although they would be happy to consider someone who just has the Dynamics 365 experience out of the three listed.

I am looking for someone who is the full package- not only a superb software engineer, skilled in the above technologies, who loves to create efficient, elegant, and well-documented technical solutions, but also who is a great person to be around- a real team player who is naturally curious, takes the initiative, and wants to pitch in wherever they can whilst maintaining and advocating for best practice and high coding standards.

They are, as a company, about to undertake a huge migration project to bring their technical estate back in-house, from a 3rd party. This will span across all areas of the business and will be keeping everyone busy for a long while! Don’t worry though, once this is completed, there will be lots of other projects, products, and solutions to be made, so you’ll not be bored here.

As you can imagine, big projects like this need short feedback loops and lots of collaboration, which is often easier to do when everyone is in the same place, so a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office is there to facilitate that.

This is great role for you to really use all your skills on some fab projects, in a fun environment with friendly, talented people. If you’re looking to make your mark at a company, shape how things are done, and have a voice – this is the place for you.

If this sounds right up your street, get in touch now or apply for immediate consideration!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Supplier Engagement Advisor

Role:  Supplier Engagement Advisor

Location:  Stratford Upon Avon – Hybrid – some travel to client sites required

Salary:  Up to £24k plus a 10% bonus

Are you passionate about data? Fancy working in a team of young talented minds that all think alike? How would you like to be part of a team that is constantly fighting for a more sustainable world?

You might have finished your A levels and decided to enter the workforce instead of take the university route. Or maybe after uni, you decided you work best in an operational role which you’ve worked for a couple years and want the next step.

If this sounds like you, tune into this one. You don’t want to miss it!

I’m working with an Environmental Consultancy that uses innovative data insights to help B2B’s improve their waste management processes and become more sustainable as a business. They work every day towards a waste free world, and they’re looking for a supplier engagement advisor to come into the business and assist in producing quality data submissions that make customers aware of their recycling activity and help them understand ways to become eco-friendlier and more compliant with environmental law.

  • They have social value at the heart of their business ethos.
  • The data team is filled with graduates from different backgrounds and stories, so diversity is everything to them.
  • They are big advocates for volunteering and charity events.
  • They love upskilling and giving young talent the progression opportunities they deserve!

Here’s some of the things you’ll be getting up to:

  • liaise with suppliers, assisting them with their data submissions relating to clients’ obligations under the Packaging, WEEE and Batteries regulations.
  • Work alongside Data Administrators, Account Managers and Data Team Managers to effectively communicate requirements for obligations calculations for a range of accounts.
  • Become the main POC with suppliers of Data Insights’ customers to collect information by email, telephone, and live chat, as well as demonstrations and visit client sites to undertake weighing exercises.
  • Interact with other departments within the company, as well as external organisations.
  • Data cleansing and maintenance using in house CRM and Microsoft Excel.
  • To provide support to the Account Managers in the calculation of the packaging, WEEE and Batteries waste submissions.

The role is forward facing, so you’d need to be able to carry yourself well and bring a high level of professionalism to the workplace. You’ll be the taskmaster of the data team, so being able to juggle customer service and data skills is key for this position. Ideally, you’ll have worked previously in an operational role, where you’ve pivoted between departments as a fundamental part of the company’s operating system.

You’ll have the opportunity to travel on site to different clients, as well as coming into the office a couple of times a week. So having (or working towards) a driver’s license is important.

The role is paying up to around the £24K mark, but they also have a 10% annual bonus included as part of the package, which is pretty great.

Here’s some more of the benefits below:

  • Dual Location / Hybrid worker Status
  • Participation in our annual Incentive Plan (VIP) – up to 10% bonus
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Option to buy and sell up to 10 days annual leave
  • Access to voluntary benefits including private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, subsidised gym membership
  • Automatic inclusion in Life Assurance, Critical Illness and Disability Income protection schemes
  • Pension scheme up to 8% employer contribution
  • Access to reward & discount platform
  • Wellbeing initiatives
  • Volunteering day

Devops Engineer

Role: DevOps Engineer

Location:  Office near Alderley Edge, Cheshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office, which is flexible, but the team go in typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Salary: Up to £65k plus benefits

I am working with a lovely company that is about to go through a period of transition, going from being a small company to becoming part of a global organisation due to an acquisition. It’s an exciting time for them- everyone there is jazzed for it!

They are hiring in a number of departments and DevOps is no different. You’ll go into a small DevOps team that’ll be headed up by a Lead Engineer who will mentor and guide you, developing your skills from the solid foundation you’ve already got. You’ll contribute, learn, and be rewarded with great career progression routes for your hard work.

You will be fully hands-on, using a range of tech, but centring around AWS and Terraform, initially.

Here’s an abbreviated list of tech/skills you’ll use in the role:

  • AWS & GCP and various services, including AWS ECS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, and GCP Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and IAM.
  • Terraform for IaC
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Linux (sysadmin including firewalls and hardening)
  • Web Server Config (Apache, Nginx)
  • Database management (MongoDB & MySQL) for high availability and backups
  • Git for version control
  • Programming/Scripting languages like Node/TypeScript, Python
  • Serverless Infrastructure
  • Network design & admin

There is a planned, company-wide, migration from AWS over to GCP in the next year or so, so any familiarity with GCP would be hugely beneficial for the role and you’ll need to be comfortable in switching cloud providers yourself, to be happy in the role. Due to the acquisition, integration experience would be really handy, too.

Whilst a tech alignment is necessary, it will always be secondary to culture and values fit: being a self-starter, curious, proactive, upbeat, and engaged team member is very important to them.

This is a great role to go into if you want to learn lots, get stuck in, and get experience of solving some complex, enterprise scale problems!

If this sounds right up your street, apply now or get in touch to find out more!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Role: Lead DevOps Engineer

Location: Office near Alderley Edge, Cheshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office, which is flexible, but the team go in typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Salary:  Up to £80k plus benefits, including bonus

You’ve been around the block- you’ve worked in big companies, small ones, and have realised that the people make the place. You don’t mind how big the organisation is, as long as there are good people there who are equally as good at what they do.

On the technical side, you have a deep understanding of how infrastructure and systems fit together, how software engineering and production works, how many different technologies work, and have come to the conclusion that the right tool for the job isn’t always necessarily the new buzzword on the scene, and know enough to be able to make the call on what technology fits your current need. Afterall, technology is a tool to finding a solution!

Next on your to-do list is to find a company that not only values your way of thinking, your skills, experience, and pragmatism, but actively encourages, and gives you opportunities, to impart your wisdom to others and lead the way in your team.

If this sounds like you, you’re in for a treat with this role!

They are hiring in a number of departments and DevOps is no different. Starting with a Lead DevOps Engineer, this role will see you being in a technical leadership role, providing mentoring and skill development to a very bright, enthusiastic DevOps Engineer, and growing the team with another couple of DevOps Engineers, and doing the same for them.

Senior .Net Product Engineer

Role: Senior .Net Product Engineer (FinTech)

Office Location:  London

Working Model: Fully remote working model with quarterly socials/team events.

Salary: Up to £75k plus benefits

Do you hate being bored?

Does being shoved into a silo for the rest of your career fill you with dread?

Do you want your hard work to make a real difference in a company?

If your answer to these questions is a very loud ‘YES!’, then here’s the role for you!

One of my favourite sayings is ‘the people make the place’, and that couldn’t be truer of this company.

It’s rare to find such a good blend of cool, interesting work and really wonderful people- the CTO is one of the most caring, effective, and genuine people you could hope to meet, and to add credence to this statement is the fact that the people who have worked for him before having sung his praises to me.

In this role, you’ll go into a tiny company of just shy of 10 people who are mostly software engineers of varying levels of seniority (but mostly on the more senior end, currently). You’ll be using a real mix of tech, including:

C#

.Net 8+

TypeScript

MariaDB (will likely move to a different NoSQL DB at some point)

GCP (you can have used other Cloud providers like AWS or Azure)

PHP (their legacy code is PHP- you’ll have to interact with it, but it is being deprecated)

Docker

Naturally, whilst it’s important that you’ve got the skills above to do the role, the most crucial thing they are looking for is attitude. You can teach skills; you can’t teach someone to have a good attitude!

They look for self-starters who take the initiative, who are curious and ask questions, who are upbeat, and want to muck in with whatever task is up next. If you’ve ever found yourself saying ‘that’s not my job’, it’s likely you’ll not be right for this role.

You’ll get involved in a wide variety of projects, in a nimble, fun, and engaging role, surrounded by intelligent, collaborative, and supportive people that will use your existing skills to their full extent, give you the chance to widen your knowledge base significantly, and have a great time doing it!

They might get an office in Nottingham to go into once per week, in the future, so living in a commutable distance from Nottingham would be beneficial.

If this sounds right up your street, please apply now or get in touch to find out more!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Automation Engineer

Role:  SCADA / PLC Automation Engineer

Salary:  Up to £60k per year + benefits

Location:  Fully Remote, UK

Are you a Manufacturing Automation Engineer who is looking for something just a little bit different?

A chance to develop your programming skills and to get into the world of AI and Machine Learning?

Working for a new, unique hybrid engineering/ML company who are shaking up a huge global industry, you’ll have a chance to combine your love of tinkering with robotics and automation with a newfound appreciation of all of the possibilities of AI and Machine Learning in the field of industrial manufacturing.

This company have come from seemingly nowhere to suddenly be one of the hottest names in their industry, but their success is no overnight success story.

They are led by experts in the robotics, automations and manufacturing industry – these bright sparks saw an opportunity to spin out a new company that combined old school know-how with cutting edge data and Machine Learning technology and so far, their order book shows no sign of slowing down.

You’ll be joining a charismatic and passionate manager who is well travelled in the world of automation and manufacturing technology – he’s going to be someone amazing to learn from.

He’s looking for someone who shares his joy at breaking things and then fixing them to understand how things work…someone who is a true engineer at heart. He wants someone who has several years of SCADA and PLC programming experience (Siemens preferred though Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi is fine).

You’ll have worked with current and obsolete PLC/SCADA systems and will ideally have a good understanding of databases such as Microsoft Sql Server or MySql.

Any programming experience with Python, C++ or BASIC would be advantageous, BUT, if you don’t have strong programming experience but are able to learn quickly and are excited about adding more programming experience to your armoury then you will still be considered!

Ideally you will also have at least some experience of working within food manufacturing environments.

This role will be hybrid with time spent between your home, their office in South Yorkshire and client sites across the UK, so you must be comfortable with travel.

Data Support Analyst

Role:  Data Support Analyst

Location:  Leamington Spa (must be able to drive)

Working Model:  Hybrid, 2 days/Week

Salary:  Between Up to £32K

You’re smart, great with people and a fast learner.

You’re probably not quite a data nerd, but you know how to analyse complex information and explain things in an accessible way.

You’ll likely have graduated with an analytical degree such as Maths, Computer Science  Biology, Chemistry or Physics, but equally, you might be a Sports Science, Economics or Psychology graduate – the main thing is that you will have had to do some analytical/data work as part of your degree and will be comfortable working in a data-focused company (you’ll need a 2:1 or above). If not, relevant experience in the data analytics field is juuuust fine.

This company is one of the UK’s sustainability success stories – they’ve grown considerably and are showing no sign of slowing down, and they are looking for graduates to join them in various positions, from customer-facing account management, and graduate data-consultant through to international compliance analyst positions.

They provide critical data consultancy services to some of the largest companies in the UK and beyond, and they are an important part of the climate fightback, so if you care about sustainability and climate change, you’ll be working for a company you’ll be proud of.

The main skill set you’ll need for this role is to be technically adept with datasets. That means anybody who has a strong background in SQL for data extraction and analytics, and Excel for reporting and analysis would be a good fit for this role. However, another part of your role is to support technical input and read into complex C# code to suggest improvements. So, if you’ve worked in an application support role or have had a role that is hands-on with C#, this is crucial for your technical understanding of the software environment in which the data is used.

Another important thing is that you must possess exceptionally strong communication skills and an ability to learn and progress your skills quickly.  You’ll likely be the sort of person who excels in new situations where you have to think on your feet and use your intelligence and intuition to solve problems and get things done (*hint* there may be an assessment centre involved as part of the recruitment process!).

The company is looking to adapt to emerging technological and cultural changes that will help them evolve into new and innovative working methods. With that in mind, they want people in their team to have a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies and an understanding of the latest technology trends such as Machine Learning and AI.

The salary for the role is between £30-£35 +  plus a bonus of up to 10% and other benefits, and there’s plenty of room to grow and expand into either of various pathways within the business.

If you’re curious and want to know more please apply for a swift response or call us (google us for our number!)

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
