Salary: £45- £75k + 10% bonus.
Skills: Java, Scala & Python (desirable), AWS, Agile!
Building a Java program from scratch comes second nature to you…
Instead of worrying about broadening your tech skills lately, you’ve been interested in projects that would require your Java expertise.
But where do you go from here?
There’s always “Big Data”.
Everyone’s talking about it.
If the news is anything to go by, it’s worth more than oil nowadays. Surely your skills are worth the same…
As luck would have it, there’s a company in Nottingham looking for someone just like you and they’re ready to pay a premium for you too.
Your programming passion would be focused on increasing capabilities that leverage the value of all data for both this business and its customers.
Someone with a genuine appreciation for Data is what we’re after.
Afterall, that’s what’ll allow you to truly feel at home in this role.
Whether you did a Data Analytics module at University or you’ve been utilising your programming skills to create analytical boards in your own time, if you’ve got some action (commercial or not) behind your interest, it’ll shine!
Thanks to the overseas teams, all Data Science and ideas of Data Models will be done for you.
The challenge will be to engineer and implement these Data Models to run on the business’ new Analytics platform; providing analytics pipelines, allowing its customers to make better trading decisions.
Although there will be migration of legacy models into the AWS platform, anything that is migrated over will be enhanced and inevitably changed to enable them to run smoothly on the new Analytics Product.
You’ll be a key part of that.
Now, there’s room for you leaders out there, as well as room for the more technically-focused people. Here’s the difference:
If the role has spiked an interest and you can see yourself at home here, send me your CV.
