Salary: Up to £35k
Skills: Field Support background, Windows Server, Networking (Cisco would be awesome!)
You’re a Field Engineer…
There’s no doubt relationship building is an integral part of your role; the ability to win over a customer and wash away all their worries – now that you’re here with your mighty skills that is!
You’re wondering why I’m mentioning relationships (I’ll explain later) and you’ve come here for a reason…
Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, but maybe your strengths aren’t being recognised as much as you’d hope.
Or simply, no challenge. Same ol’ field projects. No buzz and no new skills.
You’re in luck!
This Nottingham-based IT support company will not leave you to rot in the field (like a Brexit hit fruit farmer’s harvest), rather you’ll be nourished through a plethora of skills as you join their skills matrix. As it stands, the team sits with three field engineers and they’re looking for a fourth.
Business has picked up. They’re in one of their busiest periods as of late, having grown from word of mouth. They’ve got enough customers and opportunities for you to grow.
Earning a salary of up to £35k, you’ll be privileged to work with a great bunch of people, headed up by a friendly, caring and results-driven Technical Manager (I’ve met him, I’m sure you’d love working with him!).
What will you be doing?
Going on-site will mean holding a real consultative approach, this means using those great relationship building skills mentioned above and your creative flair, it’s not as simple as deploying, installing or creating a solution.
They want you to have pride in delivering a great service!
This means moseying on down with an Accounts representative upon a call-out and designing a solution bespoke to your client or, simply implementing a tidy and slick set-up.
So now you’re wondering what they really need? And if the skills you have will be appreciated?
They want working with Servers, Desktop and Networking to be part of your daily repertoire, but I’m going to be honest, this business would really value someone with a Networking focus; filling their knowledge gap. More specifically, Cisco exposure!
If you hold your Cisco skills in high regard, whether you’ve been hands-on with Switches and Routers or have a CCNA certification, you’ll find yourself front of the queue for this role.
So, drop me a line and let’s get talking about getting you a job somewhere better! 😊
