Technical Project Manager

full time
Location: Nottingham
Package: Negotiable
“Let's get technical, technical, I wanna get technical, let's get into technical”
This role gives you the opportunity to help mould and develop your position and set a precedence for others moving forwards. Impact is what you will be looking to make in your new position.
Technology will be your background, ideally at least five years’ experience will be ideal. This will give you the foundation that you need in order to have the required knowledge and insight when dealing with the customer and internal teams.
Project Management, as well as service transition skills will make you a front runner for this role (not an actual runner!).
Relationships will be something that you thrive on, as you will have the chance to make a great impression on not only existing customers but also new ones!
Creating a smooth transition - does this make your ears prick up a little more? Well this will be up to you, you will ensure that there is a smooth transition with dealing with your customers, surely no strife is better for everyone!
Organisation your middle name? Say ‘NO!’ to messy workloads and things out of place - instead you will be able to ensure that all documentation is tracked and prioritised against tasks, from not one customer but a few!!
Security - does this get your heart beating a little faster If you have exposure in this field that will be fab! No exposure, but want to get to know more about this, great you are the sort of person I want!!!
It’s a close-knit team who love getting stuck in and supporting each other, so this probably isn’t right for someone who’s looking for a hands-off role.
At a glance it would be nice if you had any of the following:
- Experience of VPN, SIEM and infrastructure devices
- Worked within an MSP, in a project management role
- Working with a security environment
There’s a catch though…
If you aren’t used to having senior management taking a hands on approach in the company this is not the role for you. Experience within a smaller organisation would be beneficial as you will probably be more aware of how everyone pulls together.
However, working within a larger company will not be a disadvantage as long as you are able to demonstrate that you have exposure to working within a transparent environment.
