Java Technical Lead
Location: London (Paddington)
Salary: up to £120k + 17.5% Bonus + Benefits
I’ve just looked, and there are at least 30 other Jobs paying this kind of money for similar-sounding role in Central London…so why should you bother with this one??
To kick off, you won’t hear about this one from anywhere else, so there isn’t a chance you’ve already applied or heard about it…
Still doesn’t matter though. You want to know what’s interesting about this one.
I’ll get to the point.
To start, they’re a global FinTech business pushing hard to grow in the UK, and they’re looking for a hands-on ‘Head Honcho’ Java Engineer to lead from the front. There’s an interesting project pipeline which will be discussed in the initial chat with ‘The Boss’ (who, incidentally, is a thoroughly likeable human being).
You’ll get to call a lot of shots, shape development/tech strategy exercise your (already rippling) technical, leadership and stakeholder muscles in this position.
So, wha’d’ya need?
The aforementioned Boss has asked me to focus on someone with previous technical leadership who has driven teams forward in terms of technology and architecture – particularly with transformation of tech stack. Evidence of being involved in moving from monolith to microservices is important.
In exchange for gracing them with your presence and being the true ‘voice of technical authority’, they’re offering a good salary and even better bonus, alongside all the usual benefits that you’d expect from a company of this size.
This isn’t the end-of-the-line when it comes to progression with them either, so if you’ve got your sights set on a particular path, and you’re looking for an employer that will work with you to make those career goals happen, you’ll be coming to the right place.
If you’ve worked at Head-Honcho-Tech-Guru level previously and like the sound of the job (as opposed to my writing style) then send your CV over and we can have a chat about what they can offer you.
