Senior Software Developer (C# Winforms / WPF)
If you’re told what to do, how to work and when to do it etc; and like that way of working, this job is not for you!
If that’s the exact opposite of what you’re looking for, and you’re sick of being micromanaged and constantly told how to do your job, then you might be reading about your new home.
To quote the Technical Director “People have a say in how they work, anyone that would constantly need to be told what to do, wouldn’t be a good fit”.
Are you ready to take that leap?
They’ve moved beyond the micromanagement culture and have chosen to create a team filled with people just like you who know their domains, understand their own limitations, and ultimately can suggest changes without someone constantly making demands of them.
The team is the subsidiary of a larger global parent company but this business is considered the ‘tip of the spear’ because all of the solutions created are tied together with the software this team produces – so this small team filled with very bright people that are depended on in a big way!
The systems and products being developed are highly complex so even the biggest of brainiacs is in for a challenge! UI Development includes C# Winforms to WPF on multiple strands of the business so there will be plenty of work to do as part of the 6-person Desktop Development team function. Again, there will be no space to hide in the small team!
Besides C# Development experience in Winforms / WPF, HTML5, and a technical mindset, there’s not exactly a long list of requirements…
For you to be a big contributor to this team, you know from reading this far that you’ll need to have your own opinions – and opinions often come from experience. If you’re coming from a background that involves developing complex systems/platforms/application and know enough to speak with confidence about your domain, you’ll be just fine.
*NB: Remote working: You will need to be on site every day within the first 3 months (notice period) and live within 1 hour drive (max) of Worcester; 4 days a week remote working is very possible thanks to the level of autonomy given, but it’s important to be aware that you will sometimes be needed in person rather than remotely (start of new projects, important meetings, etc.)
So, if you’re ready to take that next step and take ownership of your role, they’re waiting for you.
Pop your CV over and let’s talk about what they can do for you.
