Java. You know it and love it.
You’ve been around development for a while; you could spend all day nitpicking between versions 8 and 11 but you’re also interested in whether there’s somewhere just a little better to indulge your programming passion.
That’s where these guys come in. They’re an intelligent bunch of people who make sure that they have all the best tools and up to date processes they need to get the job done, including implementing agile properly from top to bottom. This means that you’ll be working with the newest tools, tech, training and other t words that are in your favor.
They’re well connected and well respected, giving you a buffet platter of massive projects to lend your expertise to.
Thinking you might try some new tech after you’ve been working with java for a while here? No problem! They regularly offer in house, peer driven workshops and external certifications to keep your skills razor sharp.
However, with every ying there is a yang, a hot pot of java, a cold wind to cool it. Here’s the things you should know moving forward.
With them being a consultancy, occasional travel to client sites is a feature of the role, but almost all of this will be in and around Nottingham so there’s no danger of you becoming a road warrior.
They also set high expectations and the standards set by your peers will challenge you. This isn’t to say you can’t ask questions, in fact they encourage it! It’s just to ensure that they can look to their left and right and know that whoever they see is an expert in their field. Just imagine if the Men in Black were a software consultancy.
If none of this scared you away and you’re quite excited about becoming one of the best of the best of the best, pop your CV over, I can answer any questions you might have.
