Solution Architect (Infrastructure & Cloud)


  • Headline: This is a ‘hands-off’, a high-level solution design position on an enterprise level, not a technical build and delivery role.
  • Location: Coventry
  • Package: Up to £65,000 + 10-15% Bonus + Benefits
  • Ideal Candidate: Will have significant Infrastructure Design experience – Particularly within Cisco networking and AWS Cloud technologies.

We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to work for this enterprise organisation to sit within in a large Infrastructure team and take lead within the cloud domain as the defacto subject matter expert.

This role will involve establishing best practice, working with external consultancies to deliver the AWS cloud integration. The position will need someone who will be able to work as a solution architect from the feasibility study, documentation / high-level design, approval, governance and implementation. It will take someone with the ability to appreciate not just the solution designed but how it will sit alongside other solutions and integrate in the ecosystem.

Skills and Experience:

  • Solution Architecture experience within IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong commercial architecture and design skills
  • Understanding of IT architecture modelling tools and languages such as Archimate, EA Sparx, UML, BPMN, and TOGAF
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud technology - at least some hands on commercial experience
  • Cisco Data Centre technologies, particularly UCS and ACI
  • Other Cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure and Office365
  • IBM Storage
