Junior QA Test Analyst
Location: Derby, Pride Park.
Role: IT / Manual Web based testing, Pre-Configuration, Bug fixing
Required skills: Strong numerical and communication skills, Analytical, Positive self-starter attitude, demonstrate attention to detail.
Beneficial skills: Manual test experience, writing test cases, log and track bugs, knowledge of cloud systems, degree in IT, Maths, Sciences.
Pay: £16k - £18k

Working on behalf of a company that have been growing consistently over the last 5+ years, they have room in their test team for someone to come in and begin learning the ropes and improving their technical skills and knowledge.

What do I need?

  • Experience or knowledge of Manual Web Testing.
  • Understanding OR Interest in Automation, Regression, Unit and Module testing.
  • Solid knowledge of the basic testing processes and practices


  • An interest in tech outside of work.
  • Experience or knowledge of cloud hosted software.
  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certificate in Software Testing
  • Bugzilla
  • Knowledge of the SDLC

This role is all about attitude and enthusiasm. You will create and execute manual test cases for new functionality and defect resolution. You’ll need to be organised, self-motivated and constantly be looking for intuitive ways to improve the overall quality of the products you work with. After testing, you’ll liaise with the development team and various stakeholders to ensure all bugs and defects are documented and resolved. There will also be work on data conversions and configuration of software, ready for it to be upgraded or implemented.

If you have no experience in testing but have a degree in software engineering or a technical field, we would need to see evidence of some self-study, going out of your way to break into a role as software engineer or tester.
