Summary:

Headline: Software Support Analyst working within a team of 10, supporting the company’s software products
Location: Long Eaton, commutable from Nottm and Derby
Package: £20k - £30k + bonus, pension, 24 days 
Ideal candidate: Someone with 2 years + previous SQL based software support experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering and/or ERP software.  Alternatively, someone with general IT experience, with good SQL database and some programming exposure.  Must have good general IT skills inc. knowledge of Windows 10, basic networking and servers etc.

The company are a very well-established software house who have a team of approximately 10 in their support team.  They work with a diverse range of customers supporting their business software, and as such they have a support team with diverse skills.

People tend to stay at the company for longer than average and as such they prefer people with a stable career track record.

In a nutshell, we are looking for someone who has;

  • A good understanding of desktop, laptop and basic network hardware
  • Very good SQL/T-Sql scripting skills (inc. ability to read/amend stored procedures)
  • Knowledge of commonly encountered IT problems (such as internet connectivity, TCP/IP etc.)
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • A passion for finding solutions to technical problems that stump other analysts!

The role is paying between £20k - £30k depending on your experience and skills.
