Customer Support Engineer

Role:  Customer Support Engineer

Location:  Nottingham

Salary:  Up to £45k per annum

The UK branch of this company is based in Nottingham and is looking for an experienced support engineer to join their team. You will be the first customer support engineer supported by 3 members of senior leadership so the career progression and opportunity to be recognised for your efforts is worth noting.

If you are looking to really hone your data skills in TSQL/SQL and SQL servers with a good understanding of engineering processes, this would be perfect. They are looking for someone always thinking ahead in terms of automating manual processes to make life easier and someone who knows how to communicate well with internal and external clients. As a support engineer, you’ll be cleaning data from the NHS and processing it into data warehouses, writing and debugging stored procedures using automation where relevant, operating ETL processes/data pipeline and keeping the team informed of your progress.

Requirements:

Fantastic communication

Experience with TSQL/SQL + SQL server

Able to write and debug stored procedures

Automation experience

Understanding of engineering processes (ideally you have professionally practised or are learning an OOP language)

Senior Technical Consultant

Role: Senior Technical Consultant (Oracle/Azure/SQL)

Location:  2 days a week in the Nottingham office

Salary: Up to £50k per annum

 

Important! For this role, you will need to have been living in the UK for 3 years (for security clearance purposes)

IT Support Analyst

Role: IT Support Analyst

Location: Newark

Salary: Up to 30k (potentially higher for the right candidate) plus bonus

You will be reporting into the Head of IT in a role where you will need to show a positive, can-do attitude. There will be things that you don’t know but you will be given the opportunity to learn, and training will be provided to support you. You will need to be personable and great with people as they are a smaller business and require people who are prepared to work as a team, roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!

You will be dealing with approximately 200 tickets a month. Most of these will be simple fixes, but some will be more challenging and will test you.

What you need:

  • An understanding of how to install, update and maintain Windows 10 on client machines
  • Understanding of server software and technologies
  • Ability to manage and update active directory on prem and in azure
  • Fluency in office 365 user administration
  • Good understanding of back up best practices.

You will be working on the service desk, so you must be a great communicator who wants to provide excellent customer service, you will need to be able to translate technical knowledge into more simpler terms as you will be dealing with clients of varying technical ability. However, this isn’t your typical service desk role, its not about high volume tickets, you could be on a call for up to two hours as you will be involved in

You will be solving complex technical problems, so you must have great technical knowledge. You must know all about PC’s, Applications, and other Peripherals. You will, however, receive full training on company specific software.

You must have experience working on a help desk and you must understand infrastructure, as you will be expected to get started on support calls very quickly! Knowledge of Microsoft 365 is key as this role is all about the infrastructure and multiple vendors.

You will be joining a small team of other bilingual people, who are working in other areas of the service desk. You will join a lively, small office which are based in Nottingham City Centre.

The salary on offer is up to 40k (DOE), there is some flexibility to the working hours. There is 25 days + bank holidays on offer. There is an extensive benefits package too which includes free snacks and coffee, all day! This role is 5 days a week and there maybe the opportunity for you to undertake on call work if you wish as they offer 24/7 support in the UK.

Technical Support Analyst
