Senior Product Manager

Role: Senior Product Manager

Location: Nottingham City Centre

Working Arrangement:  2 days/week in the office.  Tuesdays are when everyone is in, and the other day is arranged with your team

Salary: Up to £60k

The company I’m working with, exclusively, are an international household name, with their hub in Nottingham. Their office is beautiful and very well-located for easy access via public transport- tram, train, or bus. Or you could walk or cycle in!

Working with web-based applications are key within this role as you will be working on a daily basis with the development team, QA’s and UX designer, so being able to work in an agile environment is a must. If you haven’t had experience of working with developers, this is not the right role for you.

You will be joining at an exciting time with the product as they are currently in the throws of developing version 3 of the platform. You will be involved with working to understand the needs of the clients and the capabilities of the system.  Not only this you will be covering strategic decisions on the scope. This product will become your baby, and you will be involved in this throughout.

CONTRACT Technical Product Owner

Role:  CONTRACT Technical Product Owner

Location:  Hybrid -2 days/week in Notts city centre office, 3 days home working.

Rate:  £350 to £525 per day (outside IR35, initial 6-month contract)

You’ve worked in large enterprise companies and small ones.  You’ve seen how the big players do things, and you’ve been able to do the whole end-to-end process in the small ones.

Armed with this knowledge, you want to put it to great use in a medium-sized company where you can thrive.  This is your chance!

I’m working with a tech company with an office in Nottingham, which is growing and has gone global through acquisition. You’ll be part of a huge transformational programme that is currently kicking off which is going to last at least 2-3 years. They need a veteran contractor to help with the bottleneck of work that they currently have as the project has already gone live!

I’m looking for a Technical Product Owner who can look at the overall design and build of the software, you’ll need to come from a SaaS background and have experience of working with technical teams (ideally, you’ll understand and can talk code with developers). As you’ll be working with a global team and therefore there will be some meetings after 6:00 pm with the tech team based in the States.

They need you to join them, working alongside developers, Product Managers and Senior Stakeholders, to allow them to continue to deliver projects efficiently, on time, and as smooth operators.

Ideally, you’ll be PRINCE2 qualified, and be coming from a tech background yourself. They use the Microsoft tech stack at this company, so anything around C#, .Net, Azure, SQL Server, etc. would be useful!  No need to worry if not, provided you’re used to working on projects with tech/ IT departments and the people within them, understanding the lingo, and the domain.

Working in an Agile environment, you’ll be very delivery-focused, and hungry to learn!

You’ll be kept busy, running with around a dozen projects concurrently, of all shapes and sizes. Some of these will be very small projects falling under a larger programme of work, others will be standalone projects, but they will all be within the technology department, so software, integration platform and transformational type of projects.

If this sounds great to you, get in touch now and hit apply for immediate consideration!

Product Manager

Role: Product Manager

Location: Chorley – 4 days a week in the office

Salary: up to 55K, potential wiggle room for the right candidate

Are you well versed in working with products? Are you able to take ownership and work with stakeholders? If so, read on….

A shrinking butterfly, not at all what’s required.  I am looking for the butterfly that will flourish and raise the stakes with the way product is dealt with in the business. You will take full responsibility for all the products internally within the business, so experience of managing products internally is a bonus!! There are approximately 5-10 core products.

You won’t be thrown into this alone, there will be a BA who will work alongside you and help with various aspects of the products. You will need to be proactive and take full responsibility of the build of the road maps for example.

Product is currently treated reactively, which can lead to being on the back foot at times. You will be happy to challenge processes and the way things work. You will be the driving force within the business and help the business understand the benefits and need for change to be made.

If you are looking for a clean slate where you can come in and put your own stamp onto a role then this is the positions for you, as in their words, “you will be starting from scratch”. Being able to communicate to non-technical members of staff to understand their needs is also a big brownie point.

If this sounds like the role for you, please get in touch.

Product Analyst

Role:  Product Analyst

Location:  2 days in the Nottingham office

Salary:  Up to £30K

What is it that excites you at work? Maybe it’s the thrill of working at a fast pace and testing your skills. Or maybe it’s being able to progress and develop under the roof of a trusted organisation and build a speciality. It might even be working for the greater good, working hard to make a positive change for the people around you. If it’s all three, then lucky for you because I’ve got a role that covers all the above.

The company is a well-established tech company that specialises in creating intelligent solutions that empower government, public and private sectors to tackle the rising surge in a variety of different crimes. They deliver solutions for law enforcement, government departments and tax authorities. They were initially born out of the UK but have since expanded over to a wide variety of clients across the globe.

These guys are the best at what they do, and they’re looking to join forces with someone who also wants to be the best at what they do too. The role is working as a Product Analyst, providing mission-critical support to their clients, and working within the product team.

If you’ve got experience in anything ‘analysis’ and you’re capable of both understanding and gathering business requirements, then you’re already halfway there. While the role is very hands-on when it comes to creating specification documents and user stories, the larger part of the role is how you think and communicate. Someone who is willing to take every step and try every angle of approach to ensure customer success and quality product delivery would be great for this role.

If you have a background in working with customers, getting under their skin to really understand what they need by asking the right questions then you could be right for this role.

Whether that is working as a junior business/requirements analyst, software consultant or implementation specialist, it doesn’t matter – what matters is that you are great at understanding what customers really need and relaying this in a structured way to the team who build the solutions!

The role is paying up to £30K, with additional benefits listed below:

  • Contributory Auto-Enrolment Pension Scheme
  • Company Sick Pay & Income Protection Scheme*
  • Company Life Assurance Scheme
  • Private Health Insurance (optional)*
  • Enhanced holiday entitlement of 30 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Access to well-being support, including our Employee Engagement Programme
  • Volunteering Scheme/time off policy
  • Continual Development & Training
  • 35 working hours per week
  • On-site parking
  • Strong local transport links.

If you’d like to be considered for this role, please drop me an email, or head on over to our website and apply through there! 🙂

Product Manager

Role: Product Manager

Location: Fully Remote

Salary:  Up to 70k

This is a brand-new role, you will not be stepping into anyone else’s shoes and will have a completely clean slate to work with. If the idea of being solely responsible for Product hasn’t scared you away, please carry on reading.

You will ideally have worked within the Ed-Tech sector, however, if you have worked with a company in the Education sector then please do get in touch. With a clean slate, you will set the way Product will work in the business, take full control of this, and grow a team as the business grows and develops further.

You will be joining a small team, who are supportive and looking to grow the business and they want you to join them in that vision. You will be responsible for translating the business strategy into product strategy, as well as driving action through the organisation in order to take the products to market.

You will have a proven track record of managing product success and be excited to take full responsibility for strategy and roadmaps to name a few. Ownership is key here, as you will own Product and it will be in your hands to watch it grow and develop.

The role is 100% remote, and the exciting thing about this role is that they want you to be completely included in the business and in order to share the vision, there are EMI share options available. There is also private healthcare.

If this sounds right up your street, please get in touch! ✊

Product Manager – Sustainability

Role:  Product Manager (Sustainability)

Salary:  £50k to £60k per annum base + bonus and benefits

Location:  2 times a week in the West Midlands / Warwickshire during probation (can be largely remote thereafter)

Sector – ESG / Sustainability

You’re a highly talented Product professional.  You build rock-solid roadmaps, are highly data-led and drive product development teams forward to get things delivered.

But are the Products you are currently delivering helping to make the world a better, more sustainable place?

Perhaps that’s becoming increasingly important to you, or at the very least you like the idea of working as a PM at a company with a growing global footprint, super-talented individuals and a track record of progressing careers.

We’ve worked with this company for years and have been proud to see many of our placements go on to great things there.  The feedback from them is always positive and, whilst they have their challenges (as do all fast-growing companies), they treat people well and have everyone bought into the company vision.

In this role you will be looking after a product portfolio of 3 large internally facing products.  You will be supported by two Business Analysts and will be working with a development team based across the UK with some offshore support.

To be clear, whilst there may be some new product development, this role is more concerned with taking the company’s existing products and making them fit for the company’s growth and expansion plans.

If you are the sort of Product Manager who gets their kicks by undertaking deep user research and mapping out competitive markets whilst visioning new products this probably isn’t the role for you!

The company has a wealth of knowledge and experience that you will be able to draw on internally, so this would suit someone who has worked in a more internal delivery-focused Product Management role as opposed to a commercially driven PM background.

Your previous title is not so important, so if you are a Product Manager, a Product Owner or hold any other title, as long as you have a proven track record in developing product roadmaps and working with software development teams to ensure effective delivery of these, then you will be considered for the position.

On offer is a base salary up to £60k, a generous pension scheme, bonus, life assurance and subsidized gym membership.

Please do apply or call us to discuss further!

Programme Delivery Manager

Role: Programme Delivery Manager

Location/ working model: Office in Farnborough, Hampshire if you want to visit. 100% remote working is what everyone else here does.

Salary: Up to £65K.

Company: Start-up with a lot of variety, some chaos, and progression. Small dev team of 2, looking to double in size now with much more company growth over the medium term.

If you’ve got a variety of management skills from leading projects and dealing with clients to designing roadmaps and want to find a company that fully utilises your skills, then this role is for you.

I’m working with a cracking little tech start-up that is going places!

They have a presence in the UK (with an office in Farnborough, Hampshire if you ever wish to go there! But they all work 100% remotely) and the US. They operate within a few states, but they are looking to drastically expand their reach very soon, so scalability will be a watchword for them!

They are a start-up, so a start-up mentality is crucial to happiness and success here. You will be the type of person who loves to get stuck into all problems/ tasks that come your way, and aren’t the kind of person to say, ‘That’s not my job’. As the company grows, so will your role, responsibilities, level of seniority, and salary.

They have a small team currently but are looking to gradually expand as they seek out success. You’ll play a pivotal role, and your input will be crucial and valued by both the team and external customers. If you’ve been in mission-critical environments in the past, this should just be another day in the office (or should I say, WFH).

Briefly, here is the tech they are using:

  • C#
  • .Net Core/ 6
  • .Net Webforms and MVC – these are going to be refactored to .Net 7
  • Razor
  • Blazor
  • APIs
  • Azure SQL
  • Entity Framework
  • Azure
  • Service Bus

As a Product Manager, the technicality shouldn’t concern you as much, but it’s good to know what your team is working with. If you’ve got any previous experience, or know enough to hold a conversation, this is a plus! This might look more like home to you:

  • UX/UI design experience
  • Mock-ups/Wireframes
  • UAT, TDD
  • Technical/Non-technical requirements

In all honesty, this role is less about technical experience. In fact, they’re willing to take the right person on as long as they’re willing to learn!

This is a chance to get in at the beginning of their journey and make a difference. You can catapult your own career trajectory significantly, too!

If this sounds right up your street, hit apply now for immediate consideration, otherwise drop me a line to find out more about your next role 😊

Aviation Digital Product Manager

Role: Aviation Digital Product Manager

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: £50k to £60k per annum

Aviation! Aviation! Aviation! Product Managers! Right, do I have your attention?

What do

Aviation! Aviation! Aviation! Product Managers! Right, do I have your attention?

What do big, polluting aeroplanes and saving the planet have in common?  Not much I hear you say, and I wouldn’t blame you…but you’re wrong.  There is one organisation that is taking Green-Tech to the skies!

I am hunting for a digital product manager with experience in the aviation sector to move into an ESG-based software solutions company aimed at changing the behaviour of pilots to make more sustainable choices. Now let me give you a few more pointers….

Sector: Aviation/data-centric products (experience in this sector is ESSENTIAL)

Company size: Small (less than 30)

Angle: Software aimed at changing the behaviour of pilots to make more sustainable decisions around flying.

Working model: 100% remote

This company is looking for their first dedicated product manager to answer directly to the VP of product to analyse the market and competitors to come up with brand new features and identify gaps in sustainable aviation software offerings to create new products in the future.

Since this will be their first product manager, if you are currently stuck in a rut and want more product oversight, this is a role you could seriously get your teeth into.

A lot of the role will be looking at user feedback from pilots to make future offerings more competitive and user-friendly. If you have a personal passion for ESG/sustainability, you will literally be making a direct impact on managing the development of software products aimed at lowering pollution through digitally altering pilot behaviour.

If this sounds of interest, hit apply and we shall hopefully speak soon!

E-Commerce Product Manager

Digital / E-commerce Product Manager

Salary: 50k to 70k per annum + 25 days hols + 8% pension + discounts

Model: Hybrid/remote (once a week in their Nottinghamshire or London office)

E-commerce-focused Digital Product Managers!

You there! YES, YOU!

Feel ready to become a driving force in the digital / product transformation for a traditional, large company, working for a household brand that is almost universally loved?

Well, let me start by doing something transformative myself and giving you the important job details at the start of the advert 🤭

As you are well aware, these days it’s no longer about how many views a page gets, it’s all about successfully converting those views into cash.

The right candidate for this role fully understands how important it is to create the best customer experience, working cross-functionally with technical and design teams to develop their web platform to drive more sign-ups and checkouts.

The key selling point for this role is that you’ll be involved at the sharp end of product development as part of the company’s most ambitious digital transformation. They have hired their first dedicated UX Manager, Digital Analytics Manager and another Digital Product Manager, so you’re going in a fresh company delivering this productization journey.

Their internal culture is best described as being very people-focused. They have wonderful modern offices but aren’t pretentious at all. They still hold old-school values, with many people having worked there for years, perhaps decades even.

This position would suit someone who is great at leading from the front and building credibility with a range of stakeholders ” someone who combines ideas, energy and fantastic people skills.

Lead / Senior Product Owner

Role: Lead / Senior Product Owner

Salary: 50k to 80k per annum (Lead and mid-level role available)

Model: Hybrid/Remote (2/3 times a month into Birmingham HQ)

This one is proving to be a tricky fill.

See, the thing is that the new CPO has been brought into the company to transform their approach to product. He’s joined a company who are flying financially, but one that has bigger plans and wants to adopt best practice across the board to help them scale internationally.

He’s already built a new Product Management function. However, the PO team needed attention so he’s looking for someone experienced who knows what a high-functioning PO team looks like to join him as a Lead/Senior PO.

It’s proven a tricky role as he is really looking for an A-list player. Someone who combines a deep knowledge of product development with a forward-thinking outlook and exceptional people skills.

An offer was made recently to a super-prospect, but they ended up taking another offer, so we are back to the drawing board (luckily for you of course!).

What they liked about this PO was that it was immediately obvious that they were on the right wavelength and could talk about Agile best practices as easily as they could about transforming the culture within product development teams. They also had the leadership potential to help the other POs in the team.

They hold our hopes of finding another such superstar PO!

Naturally, the role will involve the usual PO trimmings such as managing the product backlog (tasks, user stories, Epics etc.), prioritisation, assisting with developing strategy and roadmaps etc.

However, for the senior role, there may also be an opportunity to contribute towards product management if your interest and experience lend themselves well to this function as well.

There is an additional position for a mid-level PO role where leadership skills aren’t so important, so if you have 2-3 years of experience as a PO but aren’t ready for a senior role right now please still apply!

These roles would be great for someone from a technical background who is used to working closely with developers and building great relationships with engineering managers. You don’t necessarily need to be a coder but have a strong understanding of the SDLC. Confidence when it comes to prioritisation and making data-focused decisions is essential.

If SaaS end-to-end product ownership is your bread and butter and you’re feeling rather creeped out by how accurate this advert describes you, I would love to hear from you so I can tell you more about this opportunity!

On offer is a base salary of up to 80k for the Senior/Lead role, and 50k-65k for the mid-level position. In addition, you can expect 25 days of holiday (+ BH), a 5% pension, a health plan and share options.
