Recruitment Delivery Consultant

Role:  Recruitment Delivery Consultant

Location:  Nottingham – Hybrid

Salary:  £25k – £35k + bonuses

You’re bloody good at what you do.  You work hard and always get results, but you hate being micromanaged or working in a pushy, salesy recruitment culture.

You want to work somewhere where you are treated like a grown-up in a drama-free culture, where you can make a mark in a small, growing company.

Maybe you’ve had some time out of recruitment to raise a family and now need somewhere that’s family-friendly with flexibility.  Or, maybe, you love the idea of switching over to the tech sector?

Either way, you might just be our kind of Rebel Recruiter!

We founded Rebel in 2015 as a tech recruitment company determined to do things differently. We aimed to cram it full of intelligent and passionate recruiters who are ambitious, and driven but also humble and honest.

We are now looking to hire an experienced resourcer / recruiter to join us in a delivery-focused role.

We have a multitude of existing accounts and are winning new clients every single month, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently deliver a range of roles from data scientists/engineers, network engineers, IT Support, project management and software testers (support will be given, so you don’t need previous IT recruitment experience, though it would help).

If you’re great at taking responsibility, working under your own steam and possessing high urgency levels and professionalism then you’ll fit right in!

You will have worked in a similar role as a 360 recruiter or as a resource/delivery consultant within a white-collar sector such as finance, sales, marketing, HR or Engineering.

You’ll need at least 12 months’ recruitment experience, with a previous track record of successful performance and progression.

You’ll also be based within commutable distance of Nottingham, as you’ll need to come into the office at least 3-4 days a week for collaboration and camaraderie!

We are also open to considering someone on a part-time basis – we are a very family-friendly employer.

On offer is a basic salary between £25k – £35k + bonuses worth £5k – £10k dependent on performance.  We also have regular team meals, charity activities, days out and incentives, as well as in-house knowledge-sharing sessions and training.

If this sounds like your kind of place, hit that apply button or give us a call (Google us!)

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect regardless of background.

Application Support Engineer

Role:  Application Support Engineer

Salary:  Up to £35k plus benefits

Location:  Birmingham office

Working Model:   flexible working hours and location. You can come into the office as much or as little as you like. The average, I would say, is twice a month.

Do you want to work in a company big enough to have well-established career paths yet small enough to know that all your work makes a real, material difference?  How about a company that prides itself on having some of the best tech talent and a culture to match?

If not, why not, right?!

I love recruiting for this company, and I’m sure you’ll love working there.

I am looking for an Application Support Engineer to join a busy team of 3, you will be sitting in the engineering team as you will take on a crucial part of liaising with the developers.

You will be actively troubleshooting and resolving application support incidents. The cool thing about this is that each ticket will be a new issue that they are dealing with as this is a purpose-built SAAS platform. With each ticket you will be tackling it from a 2-prong approach, firstly fixing this for the client and then looking into why the problem occurred in the first place and ensuring that the same error doesn’t occur again.

Exposure to investigating and diagnosing technical support issues in an integrated system. SQL skills are imperative in the role to an intermediate level. A desire to gain knowledge with C# and azure is an advantage.

If this sounds like a great time to you, apply now, or if you want to ask some questions to learn more, drop me a line and let’s talk!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Senior Customs Manager

Role:  Senior Customs Manager

Location:  Derbyshire, Birmingham or Northamptonshire

Working Model:  Hybrid – 3 Days/week in one of three offices

You really know your stuff when it comes to Customs and Excise regulations.

You’ve worked as a Customs Manager for years, educating and training colleagues and ensuring your busy logistics operation stays compliant, and policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

But you’re now looking for a chance to kick on.  In your current place, it’s a case of dead-mans-shoes; you can’t move up or progress until someone else moves on.

This business has been going through a period of rapid expansion over several years, and there’s no sign of slowing down.  But that means there’s always a lot going on, so people who work here need to be proactive and make things happen.

So in this role, you’ll need to be a strong character, able to negotiate and influence effectively whilst building relationships at all levels.

You’ll manage a small team, so you also need to be an effective leader; someone who can lead by example in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial culture.

You will work with colleagues across various teams and at all levels to ensure everything is customs-compliant. You’ll be an expert in all export/import-related matters and will know how to balance compliance with ensuring disruption to operations is kept to a minimum.

The role is hybrid-based, with three days working in one of their offices in Derbyshire, Birmingham, or Northamptonshire. It will also involve some travel.

This role is exclusive to us so please apply for immediate consideration or give us a call to find out more (google Rebel Recruiters for our number!).

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Recruitment Researcher – Junior Recruiter

Role:  Recruitment Researcher / Junior Recruiter
Salary: £18k – £23k + bonuses + benefits + rapid progression
Location: Nottingham City Centre – office based 5 days a week

Awesome tech recruitment company looks for a bright, ambitious and driven individual to join them as a trainee Rebel Recruiter / Researcher!

The ideal candidate: Someone with a good academic background (though we are open-minded for a talented individual who might have flopped their exams!), some previous work experience, a hard-working attitude and excellent spoken/written English.

Have you recently finished college, but decided against going to Uni (even though you probably have the grades to do so)?  Confused about what to do next?

Are you confident, hard-working and able to work on your initiative? Are you ambitious and hungry to start a long-term career?

Fancy working at the heart of the tech industry in an upbeat and people-focused environment?

Working in tech recruitment is probably not something you’ve ever considered, but it could be something you’d be perfect for!

But be warned, this career path isn’t for everyone.  It suits people who possess a highly driven attitude, who love the thrill of making things happen (and getting paid well for doing so) and people who have terrific people skills, including the ability to persuade and win people over.

The role of a recruitment researcher is a starting point on the recruitment consultancy career path.  This role involves supporting our experienced recruiters on often complex recruitment assignments.  You will spend your days working with your colleagues to understand the types of candidates we are looking to find for our customers and then search for those candidates using various tools and sources.

The role requires high levels of focus, urgency and the ability to think outside of the box.  You will spend a large amount of time searching through online profiles, CVs and candidate records, so high levels of attention to detail are important.

You’ll also spend time researching new candidate networks, target companies and helping us to build a pipeline of prospects for more senior recruiters to engage with.

As you progress you may also be encouraged to develop your own candidate networks and eventually win your own clients (employers) through business development activities. This is the long-term goal, to turn you into a highly successful, specialist recruiter, and this role will be the first step in that career!

You will need to be someone who is naturally sharp and picks things up quickly – our work is very fast-paced and we work with high levels of initiative.  It’s a demanding work environment, but one that’s fun and supportive.

If you’re interested, you’ll need to write at least a paragraph or two explaining why you’d be a great match for our business and why we’d be mad not to hire you.

Do take a look at our website to get a feel for who we are and the types of roles we recruit for.

As long as you write a cover note with your application, you will get a guaranteed personal reply from our Managing Director.

Your pay will progress as you do, but you will start on a base salary of between £18k – £23k and realistically up to £2.5k in bonuses in your first year.

You’ll also get to enjoy weekly team lunches, regular team events and various other incentives to keep things interesting.

Most importantly though, you will learn from other talented and successful recruiters to help you progress your career long-term, where if you make it as a successful, specialist recruiter you can enjoy earning anywhere from £40k-£120k or more within a few years.

If you’re ready, so are we.  Hit apply and let’s see what you’re made of!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Customer Success Data Manager

Customer Success Data Manager

Location: East Midlands, fully remote with a monthly meeting in the East Midlands

Salary: Up to £55k

Does making a difference matter to you? Does Education float your boat? If so, carry on reading.

For this role, you must have worked in the Education sector within a school, preferably at a Trust level. However, working at a Trust level is a nice to have, rather than a necessity.

You will be the first person in this role, so you have the opportunity to make this role your own and put your processes in place. It is not very often that you get the opportunity to walk into a clean slate and have no one else’s shoes to fill.

You need to have a passion for data, as well as project implementations. You will be joining a small team, so a shrinking wallflower will not fit in, as you will need to ensure that your voice is heard, and your ideas and thoughts will be listened to.

The following experience is essential:

  • 3 years experience working as a Data Manager in a school
  • Understanding the data requirements of a school and multi-academy trusts
  • Knowledge of data tracking and analysis
  • An interest in software products and technical concepts

If this sounds like the role for you, please get in touch! ✊

Head of Data Science

Role:  Lead Data Scientist / Head of Data Science

Location:  Sheffield – once/week

Salary:  Up to £80k

You’ve heard it a zillion times.  Data is the new oil!  Data is king!  AI and Machine Learning is going to revolutionise our industry!

The thing is, so many companies are jumping on the bandwagon because they fear being left behind – not because they’re genuinely excited about taking their business and industry forward.

And because of this, they do data science badly.  Under-resourced teams, a lack of a real data strategy, old, cumbersome technology dragging things down and commercial teams that don’t know or believe in what they’re selling.

Then there’s the other guys/gals.

These are the ones who are building their Data/ML offering from the ground up based on real, tangible outcomes, and a loyal, existing customer base who are eagerly signing up and can’t wait to get going.

This young, but well-established company has a solution that will genuinely revolutionise a global industry and cut emissions in one of the most carbon-intensive sectors out there.

They have a highly skilled existing development team and a small data science squad, but what they’re missing is someone to lead their Data Science function as a senior, strategic and technical leader.

This is why they need you.  You’ll be leading and growing the data science team, working with the senior leaders within the business to define, scope out and develop data science and machine learning systems.

These web applications will be based on predictive models with integrated analytics tools that drive customer decision-making, potentially saving them hundreds of thousands of pounds.

A large part of your role will be related to delivering data science projects, building a high-performing data science function and working with key stakeholders.  However, there *will* be hands-on elements, and it’s vital that you possess credibility as a seasoned senior data scientist as you’ll be the most knowledgeable data scientist in your team.

You’ll have the usual array of data science skills, with extensive SQL and Python experience along with an understanding of a range of Machine Learning models and methods.  You’ll also require expertise in cloud technologies such as Azure Databricks.

You’ll likely either be working as a senior data scientist (with some leadership responsibility) and ready to step up, or you will have previously worked in a similar role.  Either way, you’ll be a likeable, positive team player who would suit working within a fast-moving scale-up culture where collaboration and culture come first.

The role would ideally see you visiting the office in Sheffield (close to the M1) once a week, with a salary in the region of £80k and share options (In the next 12 months they expect to be able to add further benefits such as healthcare, car scheme etc.)

This role is exclusive to Rebel, so please feel free to drop us a line to find out more before applying or click away and apply for a guaranteed personal reply!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect regardless of background.

GIS Technical Officer

Role:  GIS Technical Officer

Location:  Cambridge – twice a week

Salary:  Circa £32K

Got a passion for conservation? Are you someone who wants to work towards keeping natural resources safe, and concern yourself with the manmade plastics and waste that constantly threaten our planet? How would you like to collaborate with others who have the same passion for biodiversity in a consorted effort to make a change?

I’m currently with an organisation that puts the natural world at the heart of its cause. They’ve done so much as a body to shed light on the major crises that attack the natural world and work twice as hard to preserve resources and prevent damage and loss from the forest to the ocean. They’re currently hiring for a GIS Technical Officer to champion Geospatial data to develop and maintain databases that track and indicate endangered species.

As a Technical Officer, you’ll be providing ideas and insight into various GIS-related projects, using cutting-edge tools to drive forward successful efforts to reinforce crucial data needed to sustain biodiversity.  You’ll report to a senior Technical Officer who will show you the ropes and guide you when needed, but this role will allow you to really step into a professional environment and get involved with responsibilities that have a huge impact on the world around you!

If you’re a Geography grad and have used ArcGIS throughout your degree, you’d be a good contender for sure. Scripting is also a big part of this role, so basic knowledge of Python, SQL and R will be required to be suggested for the position. If you understand data, Geospatial data, data mapping etc, then please do consider yourself a potential prospect for the position!

The role is based in Cambridge, and you’ll be looking at coming in twice a week with flexible hybrid working opportunities.

The salary is around the £32K mark depending on your background and experience.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect regardless of background.
